Ningbo Lishe International Airport is situated in east Zhejiang province about 12 kilometres away from Ningbo’s downtown area. 

The airport provides advanced communication and navigation control systems, and can accommodate large and medium-size aircraft such as Md-82, Boeing-737 and Boeing-747.


The airport currently operates more than 100 domestic and international airlines, including domestic lines to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenyang, Xi'an, Xiamen, Shenzhen, Nanjing, Kunming, Chengdu, Urumqi, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, as well as international lines to Fukuoka, Osaka and Nagoya in Japan; Incheon and Cheju in South Korea and Bangkok, capital of Thailand. 

In 1985, the central government approved the construction of Ningbo Lishe International Airport. On June 30, 1990, it opened for service, becoming the first civil airport in Zhejiang province. 

Ground transportation

Free bus service between the airport and Lishe International Airport Station is available every 10 minutes. There are hourly limousine airport buses to downtown Ningbo and Ningbo Railway Station.

Metro Line 2 in Ningbo began operation on Sept 26, 2015, allowing passengers to traverse between downtown Ningbo, the railway station and the airport in less time and with more convenience.
