Tang Yijun: Ningbo to build China-CEEC investment and trade pilot zone

The city of Ningbo in Zhejiang province will build the China-CEEC Investment and Trade Comprehensive Pilot Zone to deepen cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries.
The remarks were made by Tang Yijun, Party secretary of Ningbo, at the 2nd China-CEEC Forum on Cooperation and Development on June 9.
The zone will focus on establishing a well-developed shipping logistics network, and promoting bilateral trade, production capacity cooperation and cultural exchanges.
Tang also said that Ningbo will combine its goal of becoming a famous port city with the Belt and Road Initiative. The city aims to be a pioneer in serving the Belt and Road Initiative construction.
The forum, part of the 3rd China-CEEC Investment and Trade Expo, is expected to deepen economic trade cooperation between China and the 16 CEE countries as well as promote the Belt and Road.
