The ninth Benin (West Africa) Chinese Commodities Fair will be held from Aug 25 to 28 at Benin Chinese Economic and Commercial Development Center in Cotonou, Benin.

Sponsored by Ningbo commerce committee, the fair is a display and trade platform specializing Chinese brand commodities to be sold to Benin and Western Africa markets. It is also a gateway for Benin and West Africa merchants to locally purchase Chinese quality goods in reasonable prices.

After its construction in Dec 2008, Benin Chinese Economic and Commercial Development Center has already organized eight sessions of Benin fair with the support of the governments from China and Benin.

High quality Chinese goods leave deep impressions on the Beninian merchants who progressively recognize the products made in China. This is a great opportunity for the Chinese products entering the Benin market and the Western Africa market.

Last year's fair has recorded an exhibition of over 200 varieties of products from eight categories, including textiles, light industrial products, shoes, machinery, agricultural implements, materials and solar energy equipment. The aggregate turnover reached eight million dollars while purchasing intention amounted to 42 million dollars.

This year, there are approximately 150 booths of international standards in a floor space of 2500 square meter. The fair will invite merchants from West Africa and other countries, such as Nigeria, Togo, Ghana, Niger and Burkina Faso.

"Benin (West Africa) Chinese Commodities Fair has created optimal conditions for Chinese high-quality products to enter into the Benin market. More companies from Ningbo are welcome to West Africa", said the official, who expects the fair to play a vital role of being a cross-road where economic operators can meet, discuss and reach agreements.
