The recruitment program aimed at introducing high-caliber talents from overseas to Ningbo in East China's Zhejiang province based on the city's development zones, research institutes and creative parks is yielding positive results.

Over the past few years, there have been 270 scientific and technological enterprises and 1,542 patents for innovation led by 3315 Program members.

The name "3315" means 30 members of Thousand Talents Program, a national recruitment program for overseas experts, 300 overseas professionals listed in Zhejiang's recruitment plan, 1,000 talents on the city's recruitment list and 5,000 reserve talents from abroad, which indicates Ningbo's goal in numbers.

Nearly 80 percent of the people focus on high-end technologies and therefore, introducing a talented person sometimes is a great boost to the development of a new industry. The government gives strong financial and policy support to their teams.

Exciton Technology, an optical film solution supplier in Ningbo was founded by the city's first member of Thousand Talents Program Zhang Yan 10 years ago. "I received help from the city government in capital, life and many others, far beyond my expectation," Zhang recalled, saying that starting business in Ningbo was a good choice for him.
