Ningbo's public security bureau has streamlined the visa application process for expats, allowing them to complete the entire process in just one visit.

The new streamlined service makes use of the bureau's official WeChat account. Eligible expats can submit application forms and relevant materials through WeChat. After several days of review and processing, they will able to pick up their visa at the entry and exit administration bureau.

The simplified visa application process is another step forward for the public security bureau in its quest for administrative reform.

An official from the bureau said they will complete the document review and inform applicants within five days. Several foreign expats living or working in Ningbo have already enjoyed the convenience brought by the new process
