Ningbo, a coastal city in East China's Zhejiang province is going to introduce the Nice Carnival, one of the world's major carnival events held in the French river city of Nice, this autumn.

A delegation of the organizing committee of 2018 Ningbo-Nice Carnival went to France on Feb 27 in a bid to promote Ningbo's tourist resources in the European country and get the whole view of the carnival's organization.

From March 1 to 3, the delegation will introduce the most attractive scenic spots in Ningbo including Tianyi Pavilion, Xuedou Mountain and Ningbo-Zhoushan Port to European residents by holding a promotion conference and art exhibitions.

Moreover, cultural performances with Ningbo characteristics will be staged on March 2 and 3. The wedding custom "Ten-mile Red Dowry" will be part of the parades of this year's Nice Carnival which is scheduled to take place from Feb 17 to March 3, displaying the most traditional wedding culture abroad.

Meanwhile, as the first East China city authorized to introduce the Nice Carnival, Ningbo will announce the news to the world during the delegation's visit in France and learn more about the country's experience in organizing logistics, security and business operation of the carnival.
