Peach blossoms entice marathon runners

More than 6,000 runners from 13 countries and regions took part in a marathon featuring peach blossoms in Fenghua district of Ningbo, Zhejiang province on March 25.

Running along the peach blossoms-lined route through beautiful scenic areas, runners savored the charm of Fenghua's distinctive natural landscapes and peach culture.

W. Chemtingen from Uganda won the men's competition and a Chinese runner Zheng Wenrong, took the women's title.

Fenghua is known as China's home of honey peaches, boasting over 3,000 hectares of peach trees. Praised as the most romantic venue for viewing peach blossoms in China, the district attracts countless tourists every spring.

A series of peach blossom appreciation activities were held along with the marathon contest.
