Qiu Dongyao, mayor of Ningbo, Zhejiang province, urged all parties on May 23 to leave no stone unturned as final preparations are made for the upcoming China-CEEC Investment and Trade Expo, scheduled to take place from June 7 to 10.

The expo, the first comprehensive exposition themed on investment and trade between China and Central and Eastern Europe countries (CEEC), will take place at the same time as the 20th China Zhejiang Investment & Trade Symposium and the 17th China International Consumer Goods Fair.

"The expo is of great significance to the city," Qiu pointed out, saying the successful hosting of the three events would help speed up the progress of the opening up of Ningbo.

"With the concentration on key links, we should make detailed plans to ensure the success of every step," he stressed. "Details are key to success. All departments should carry out a comprehensive inspection into their work on the home stretch and remove the possible hazards as soon as possible," Qiu added.

This year, the China-CEEC Expo in Ningbo will emphasize opening-up and quality development with a focus on the Belt and Road Initiative and the Yangtze River Economic Zone. A total of 28 activities in forms of conferences, forums, investment symposiums, exhibitions and cultural talks will be organized.

Meanwhile, it was also announced that the expo will expand its scale of operations this year and increase its general capacity to the general public.
