The number of cargo trains traveling between Chongqing, Southwest China, and Ningbo-Zhoushan Port reached 100 Aug 9, with 10,000 TEUs successfully transported.

The railway route, launched on Jan 23 this year, has led to 50 types of products from Chongqing being exported to 46 countries and regions via Ningbo-Zhoushan Port. It is considered an important part of sea-railway transport by connecting the inland city and the coastal city of Ningbo. With the advantages of short times, low cost and nonstop service, the route has enjoyed great popularity in the trade sector.

Meanwhile, the trains also transport goods from Ningbo and its neighboring areas to Chongqing, and further to European countries through the Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe railway line.
