New document to help Ningbo attract investment and businesses
A document was recently released by the Ningbo Commission of Commerce to beef up the city's efforts in attracting investment and businesses.
The document, consisting of eight main aspects and 23 concrete measures, is aimed at exploring innovating ways of investment and business attraction and furthering Ningbo's opening-up.
Ningbo will strengthen the guidance on industrial development with a focus on the introduction of manufacturing projects related to automobiles, integrated circuits, petrochemical engineering, new materials and high-end equipment. It plans to organize 10 major activities for business attraction at home and abroad every year.
The document also points out the importance of industrial parks. By 2020, Ningbo will build at least five new international industrial parks to accommodate foreign companies and projects.
For those that have been successfully stationed in Ningbo, the government will give strong financial support, according to the document. Also, there will be a raft of measures, such as building international schools and hospitals, and further streamlining administrative services to improve the business and living environments in the city.
Ningbo strives to establish over 10 agencies for investment and business attraction in key cities and regions at home and abroad in two years and will invite a group of influential entrepreneurs and scholars to help spread the city's eagerness for quality projects and high-caliber professionals.
