Ningbo honored some of the most promising and innovative high-tech talents with the China Maker Competition at the city's Pan Pacific Hotel on Sept 21, with 18 outstanding smart projects receiving awards.

The competition, launched in June, has attracted 1,334 projects from over 50 cities at home and abroad to participate, covering the hotspot high-tech fields of new materials, smart equipment, integrated circuit, and information technology, as well as other innovative fields related to fashion, design and sports.

Eighteen projects stood out amongst the strong set of entries and won the awards, such as the intelligent image recognition of Malong Technologies, the K1 mobile projection of Inovel, the exploder eliminating robot of Harbin Institute of Technology, and the FIFISH P6 underwater drone of QYSea.

These projects are expected to settle in Ningbo in the near future, as is discussed earlier between related companies and local authorities.

"Ningbo is rich in innovative vigor and well-developed in the real economy, which is beneficial for our company's development," said Huang Dinglong, CEO of Malong Technologies.

Having been held for four years since 2015, the China Maker Competition of Ningbo has introduced over 5,000 innovative projects to the city, many of which have settled here and contributed significantly to the city's high-tech development.
