Citizens in Ningbo got the chance to enjoy more than 20,000 kinds of food from 30 countries during the 2018 China (Ningbo) Food Expo held from Nov 16 to 19.

It is the 14th year that the city's annual food expo has been held, with 3,000 booths set up in eight exhibition halls over a 60,000-square-meter area. 

This year the expo prepared a hall for special food for cuisines and snacks popular on the internet. 

Three halls for imported food displayed a variety of food, with many coming from central and eastern European countries. The food was imported mainly via the Ningbo Free Trade Zone. 

An international wine competition was also organized at the expo, where 302 wine varieties from 20 countries competed and went on live auctions. 

There was also a hall for local food that showed more than one thousand well-known and high-quality agricultural products brought in by over 200 local producers, and three halls introducing food from other cities in Zhejiang province and further afield. 

In addition, nearly ten promotion and matchmaking meetings were held during the expo to provide food companies with business opportunities and cooperation platforms.
