Ningbo natives honored as reform pioneers

Three Ningbo natives were named in the 100 Chinese reform pioneers list at a grand gathering to celebrate the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening-up in Beijing on Dec 18.

Wang Kuancheng, born in June 1907, was the former president of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong. He passed away in December 1986. He was a passionate patriot in the business circle of Hong Kong and greatly supported China's reform and opening-up policy. He also initiated an education fund named after himself to support Chinese students to study abroad.
