Huang Xiaoqin, a local resident in Beilun district, Ningbo, was reported by CCTV, China's central television channel, on Dec 17, for kindly making free breakfast for street cleaners for a month in the winter over the past four years. 

Huang initiated this idea in 2015 when she was doing voluntary work for local street cleaners, such as watching movies with them and sending scarves or gloves to them, and thought that they might feel warmer if they could have a hot breakfast in the early morning. 

Huang and her husband would prepare the breakfast at half past four every morning during the month, at the bar they operated in the district.

Although they had only one hour for sleep during the period, as their bar closed at three in the morning, they still felt it a pleasant thing to do.

"A person needs to do something meaningful in their life, said Huang," adding that she will keep doing so as long as her health allows it. 

Not only were the street cleaners thankful to Huang and her husband for their kind help, but their customers also admired and supported the couple. Some foreign customers even brought fruits to the bar for the street cleaners.
