A light show for celebrating the Chinese New Year started on Feb 1 in downtown Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province, and will last for 10 days.

During the period, people will enjoy colorful lights from 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm every day. On Feb 4, the New Year's Eve, the show will last until 00:30 am.

The light show will present pictures with typical elements for the Chinese New Year such as the Chinese character fu (meaning "blessing"), red couplets, lion dance and red packets, as well as elements about the city's culture, economy and technology to show the beautiful image of the city.
