Port in Ningbo achieves high growth in motor ro-ro shipments

Meixi Ro-ro Terminal of the Ningbo-Zhoushan Port in Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province had received 36 ro-ro vessels by Feb 21 this year, far more than the 10 received in the same period of the previous year, according to statistics from the Ningbo-Zhoushan Port.
The vehicles shipped by the vessels numbered 40,000, up 634.65 percent year on year.
The terminal has strengthened cooperation with major auto makers such as BMW, Faw-Volkswagen and Geely in automobile foreign trade and is becoming a regional hub of ro-ro shipment.
It is currently working on expanding cooperation with large and strong logistics companies, and increasing the intensity and efficiency of its ro-ro shipments.
