A forum on female entrepreneurship was held at the Ningbo Museum of Art in Jiangbei district, Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province on March 8, the International Women's Day, where 14 outstanding domestic female entrepreneurs were invited to share their insights into how women should start a business.

The forum, co-hosted by the district's women's federation and the administrative committee of the district's Old Bund area, was attended by more than 200 businesswomen and female college students from the city.

Sun Qingyue, one of the female entrepreneurs, shared her experience of working as a CCTV reporter in Latin America after graduating from college, and quitting to write blogs and books after several years in the job. She is currently setting up a business focusing on e-commerce and advertising.

Sun believed that her identity change has been brought about by the development of the internet, which has broadened her imagination and she believes, her potential.

"For every female entrepreneur, I think, starting a business is out of the purpose of enriching our life experiences and broadening our horizons. Life is short, and we should live life to its fullest each day," said Sun.

As for what kind of investors female entrepreneurs should go for, Gong Hongli, general manager of the Ningbo Home-Dollar import and export company and vice chairwoman of the Ningbo Women Entrepreneurs' Association, preferred rational investors, saying that they would help make correct judgments and raise good suggestions.
