Cosco Shipping Galaxy, a large container vessel arrived at the Chuanshan Port, a part of the Ningbo-Zhoushan Port, in Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province on April 26, discharging 4,565 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) of cargo.

The ship, made by the Jiangnan Shipyard Group, stretches 400 meters long and is 58.6 meters wide, a size nearly that of four standard football fields (about 28,560 square meters). Her maximum load reaches 198,000 metric tons, or 21,237 TEUs.

In addition to a large carrying capacity, the ship also features low energy consumption and emissions, as well as intelligent functions.

Ningbo-Zhoushan Port has so far served the most large-size container vessels in China. Its Chuanshan Port has handled 42 large-size vessels so far this year, each with a load capacity of more than 20,000 TEUs.
