Ningbo, Shanghai promote sci-tech cooperation

Representatives from Ningbo and Shanghai met in Shanghai on July 10 to discuss the development of sci-tech cooperation between the two cities.
Ningbo enterprises signed six projects with Shanghai universities and institutes worth more than 13 million yuan ($ 1.89 million) in total.
Ningbo has been promoting cross-regional cooperation and technology application in recent years. There have been more than 800 sci-tech cooperation projects between Ningbo and Shanghai worth more than 700 million yuan in total over the past three years.

"The aim of the meeting is to promote sci-tech cooperation between the two cities by coordinating technology demands and cutting-edge achievements," said Huang Zhiming, head of the Ningbo Science and Technology Bureau.
Huang expressed Ningbo's desire to improve the high-quality, innovative development of the two cities and the whole Yangtze River Delta region.
"The Shanghai Branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences will continue to promote sci-tech cooperation between the two cities," said Qu Ronghui, the deputy head of the branch.
