The output value of Ningbo's electronic information manufacturing industry in the first half of 2019 reached 101.45 billion yuan ($14.53 billion), up 9 percent year-on-year, according to the city's bureau of economic and information technology.

The innovation-driven development contributed to the output value growth of the industry, as some enterprises in the industry have increased investments in research and development, according to the bureau.

Twenty of the city's enterprises made the list of Zhejiang's key electronic information enterprises, seven more than last year.

The 20 enterprises specialized in key areas that drove the high-quality development of Ningbo's digital economy, including integrated circuits, intelligent terminals and electronic information materials.

The list was released by Zhejiang's provincial commission of economic and information technology on July 23.

In addition, three local companies in Ningbo made the list of China's Top 100 Electronic Information Enterprises, which was released by the China Information Technology Industry Federation on July 18.
