Ningbo chosen as permanent host city for Interop & Cloud Connect China

The seventh Interop & Cloud Connect China is scheduled to be held in Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province from Sept 3 to 5, local media reported.

The conference, founded in the United States, is rated among the top 10 global cloud computing events and has so far been held in New York, Tokyo and Shanghai.

More than 1,200 guests including experts, scholars and government officials from across the world have been invited to attend the event and share their insights into topics such as big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, 5G, network security and the digital transformation of enterprises.

So far, many globally renowned speakers have confirmed their participation, including Joe Weinman, Ajit Jaokar, Florent Saint-Clair and Samit Mandal.

Ningbo has been chosen as the permanent host city for the conference, according to the Ningbo municipal bureau of service industry development.

An official from the bureau noted that the conference is intended to help Ningbo garner more international resources, which will inject new vitality into the conference and exhibition industry, which has been growing steadily in Ningbo in recent years.

Official data shows that in the first half of this year, a total of 128 conferences and exhibitions were held in Ningbo, 10 more than last year.
