The 2019 China (Ningbo) Sports Industry Expo concluded in Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province on Sept 14.

The three-day event attracted nearly 200 companies in sports sector from across the world, including 17 sports service and technology providers from countries such as Russia, USA, Italy, UK, France and Spain.

The expo encompassed three pavilions. One displayed well-known domestic and foreign sports brands as well as the achievements Ningbo has made in the sports industry, while the other two explored the sports industries in cities and counties administered by Ningbo.

Of particular note was the demonstration zone for the latest applications of artificial intelligence in the sports industry by renowned domestic enterprises such as DJI, Ubtech and Iscre.

World-renowned football clubs including Real Madrid and Inter Milan also debuted at the expo. Inter Milan showcased its team culture and a number of fun football interactive games.

The expo also coincided with the Mid-Autumn Festival. As a result of that, the organizing committee launched a sports carnival themed on the festival on the sidelines of the expo. The expo-goers could either sign up for the contests including square dancing, darts, fitness and skating or immerse themselves in the interactive games such as basketbal, Yoga and fencing.

According to incomplete statistics, the total number of participants of the expo exceeded 230,000 including 50,000 visitors this year, an uptick of 42.8 percent over the previous edition.
