The fifth Zhejiang Book Fair & 2019 Ningbo Reading Festival is slated to open on Oct 17, local media reported.

Ningbo will serve as the main venue for the event, with an additional 101 bookstores across Zhejiang serving as sub-venues.

The three-day book fair has attracted publishers from across the country.

Nearly 60,000 books will be featured during the fair, most of which are high-quality works and bestsellers published in recent years.

The fair will specially set up a pavilion focusing on the exhibition and sale of excellent books recently published in Shanghai, Jiangsu, Anhui, and Zhejiang so as to promote the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region.

This year's book fair will also include exhibition areas for digital publishing and media, which will be attended by over 10 cultural and creative companies.

Established in 2015 in Ningbo, the fair has grown to be an influential cultural event in China.
