A grand parade was staged in Yinzhou district of Ningbo on Oct 14 in memorial of Du Yong, who is renowned for observing filial piety in the Tang Dynasty (618-907).

The parade featuring performances including lion dancing, waist drum beating and Han clothes show started from Tiantong Ancient Street.

The instruments used in the parade are primarily made of pewter, an alloy of tin and lead, according to Shi Xizhong, Party chief of Tiantong village in Dongwu town.

The parade, which is held every five years, was listed as a municipal intangible cultural heritage item in 2017.
