National plastic expo ends on high note

The 20th China Plastics Expo came to an end on Nov 9 in Yuyao, a county-level city in Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province with the signing of 3.37 billion yuan ($502.98 million) worth of deals, according to the organizing committee.

The deals were primarily focused on sectors such as new materials, cloud services, intelligent robots and plastics.

The expo has been held in Yuyao every year since its conception in 1999 and has become one of the most influential brand exhibitions in the plastics industry.

Over the past 20 years, the expo has attracted a total of 9,888 enterprises from home and abroad and generated deals worth around 64 billion yuan.

This year, it attracted more than 29,600 traders from all over the world. Spanning 50,000 square meters, the expo featured 2,000 booths showcasing products such as plastic raw materials, plastic machinery and machine tool molds.

The 15th China Plastics Industry Development Forum was held simultaneously with the expo and attracted more than 600 people.
