The 2019 China (Ningbo) Food Expo is slated to be held in Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province from Nov 8 to 11, according to a Thursday press conference.

Since its inception in 2005, the expo has become an effective platform for boosting cooperation and exchange in China's food industry and a popular annual food event for residents in the region.

Spanning 50,000 square meters, the expo will feature 3,000 booths divided into seven pavilions, showcasing thousands of food products from home and abroad.

Exhibitors from provinces such as Shanxi, Liaoning, Hunan, and Yunnan and cities such as Guangzhou, and Shenzhen will make appearances at the expo.

A zone specially designed to display products from CECC countries such as Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia is expected to be a highlight of this year's event.

Also of note is a special zone which will feature popular food products online.

In addition, a series of forums, match-making conferences and new product launch ceremonies will also take place on the sidelines of the event.
