Ningbo's move to establish an online platform for the cancellation of business entities has been promoted across East China's Zhejiang province, according to local media reports.
Official data shows that as of Dec 23 this year, a total of 11,100 market entities including individual businesses were cancelled in Ningbo, a growth of 22,200 over last year, or an increase of 25 percent year-on-year.
In May, in a bid to solve the problem, local authorities launched an online service platform which allows data sharing between the departments involved.
The time required for enterprises to complete the cancellation procedure has now shortened to 21 days from 86 days.
The implementation of data sharing online has also avoided the need to submit duplicates of materials, said Chen Lei, deputy head of the administrative examination and approval department at Ningbo municipal bureau of market supervision.
The innovative measure was promoted across Zhejiang at the end of June.
Xu Limin, head of the administrative examination and approval department at Ningbo municipal bureau of market supervision, said that the measure will help improve market entities' quality, further stimulate market vitality and promote high-quality economic development.
