Scenic attraction on Road of Tang Poetry in Ningbo

The Road of Tang Poetry refers to a route that crosses through much of eastern Zhejiang. It received its name because more than 400 poets in the Tang Dynasty (618-907) traversed the road, including Li Bai, Du Fu and Bai Juyi.
Ningbo is an important stop on the road and is home to a number of scenic attractions often mentioned in poems.
Ashoka Temple
With a history of more than 1,700 years, Ashoka Temple houses the rare Buddhist relics of Sakyamuni, the founder of Buddhism. It is the only temple named after the Indian Buddha- Ashoka in China.
The temple has been listed as a cultural relic under state protection.
Xuedou Temple
Founded in the Tang Dynasty, Xuedou Temple is regarded by the Buddhist community in China as one of the world’s ten most famous Buddhist temples.
Minghe Ancient Town
Minghe Ancient Town, with a history of over 1,200 years, is situated in Ningbo's Cixi city. Perched on the banks of Baiyang Lake, the town is emerging as a popular tourism destination due to its rich history, well-preserved ancient architecture, and enchanting natural views.
Siming Mountain
Siming Mountain is located in Yuyao county, Ningbo and has an average elevation of 700 meters above sea level. The mountain's highest peak is located in the northern part of Huangze town, 1,012 meters above sea level. The mountain is covered with forests and is renowned for its fresh air and clear water.
