The 2020 Jiulonghu Half Marathon is slated to kick off in Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province on April 12, according to local media reports.

The registration has opened. Participants are able to register via the races’ official website or WeChat account before 5 pm of March 20 (https://iranshao.com/reg/races/2020JiuLongHu).

The event will comprise a half marathon, a 11.7-kilometer race and a 3.7-kilometer race, with a maximum of 10,000 participants.

The starting point of the circuit will be the Citizen Square in Zhenhai district, the same as previous editions.

The organizing committee will take the event as a chance to promote garbage sorting among local residents.

Bins in accordance with local trash classification regulations will be placed along the racetrack.

Besides, a series of warm-up activities such as a charity race will be held ahead of the marathon.

The organizers said they are striving to build the race into a Gold Label road race by the China Athletics Association this year.
