Shangguantang Bridge on the Yongjiang River is nearing completion after being closured on Jan 14, according to local media reports.

With a length of 2.2 kilometers and width of 68 meters, the bridge, located in Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province, will serve as an important link between the Ningbo national high-tech zone and Zhenhai district.

The bridge is expected to open in September and significantly improve transportation and logistics in Ningbo.

The bridge will relieve traffic pressure on the Yongjiang Tunnel, Changhong Tunnel and Mingzhou Bridge and cut the travel time from Zhenhai district to the high-tech zone in half.
