Two chartered flights carrying more than 260 medics left Ningbo on Feb 9 for Wuhan, Hubei province, to offer medical support, according to local media reports.

The team compromises doctors and nurses from 27 hospitals from Ningbo, including Ningbo No 1 Hospital, the Affiliated Hospital of Medical School of Ningbo University, Lihuili Hospital, and the Ningbo Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

After a short and solemn departure ceremony, the medical team boarded planes from China Eastern Airlines and arrived in Wuhan after a 1.5-hour flight.

They are the second group of medics from Ningbo to help fight against the epidemic in Wuhan. On Jan 25, the city sent 13 medical workers specializing in critical medicine, respiration, infectious diseases and nursing.
