A total of 13,707 enterprises above the designated size, or 84.9 percent of the total, had resumed work in Ningbo in East China's Zhejiang province as of 3:00 pm Feb 20, official data shows.

By the same time, 93.2 percent of banks had reopened in the city, 5.3 percentage points higher than the previous day, while the number for the foreign trade sector was 75.3 percent, a jump of 19.4 percent.

A total of 316 construction projects had resumed construction, accounting for 11.2 percent of the total.

Bull Group, a leading domestic civil electric product manufacturer and a dozen small and medium-sized enterprises supplying supporting products for the company, recently resumed production in Cixi, a county-level city in Ningbo.

The increase in the number of companies reopening comes after the government's move to boost productivity by helping enterprises in the same industrial chain to resume work at the same time.

A total of 27 officials from the Ningbo municipal bureau of economy and information technology and Ningbo municipal bureau of science and technology were dispatched to industrial enterprises, offering on-site services, as of Feb 13.

A cross-departmental green channel has also been set up to help enterprises meet requirement to reopen.
