Construction begins on 24 projects worth 37.95b yuan in Yinzhou
A total of 24 investment projects worth 37.95 billion yuan ($5.5 billion) broke ground in Yinzhou district, Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province, on March 4, according to local media reports.
The projects primarily involve high-end auto parts, intelligent medical care, and education.
Among the 24 projects, one of the most notable is a comprehensive transportation industrial center.
The center, receving a combined investment of 360 million yuan, will be dedicated to the design, R&D, and production of urban public building products.
Another key project is the Ningbo Intelligent Medical Park.
The park will focus on the development of intelligent medical equipment and factories, as well as the application of various technologies, including big data and artificial intelligence, in the medical sector.
The park will be located in Jiangshan town and cover an area of 102,500 square meters. It is expected to generate one billion yuan in annual revenue.
Other projects still include new schools and hospitals to alleviate the shortage of local educational and medical resources.
As of March 2, a total of 46,000 (or 99.5 percent of) enterprises in Jinzhou had resumed operations.
In addition, more than 300 industrial enterprises above designated size had seen their production capacity restored to pre-Spring Festival levels.
A total of 456 construction companies and 176 construction sites across the district have resumed work as well, and the district has retrieved 21,200 employees via 824 chartered vehicles.
