A rehabilitation base in Ningbo was recently listed among the first group of Zhejiang provincial forest rehabilitation bases, according to local media reports.

A total of 18 rehabilitation bases made the list, which was jointly released by the Zhejiang provincial bureau of forestry, Zhejiang provincial department of civil affairs, Zhejiang provincial health commission and Zhejiang provincial administration of traditional Chinese medicine.

The Ningbo base is located in Siming Mountain National Forest Park on the periphery of Siming Mountain in eastern Zhejiang. It has the highest elevation and the largest area of any national forest park in Ningbo. The forest resort in the park is a comprehensive tourism and leisure area integrating ecological tourism, leisure vacation and outdoor sports.

A provincial forest rehabilitation base should meet the following standards:

The afforestation rate should be above 70 percent, while the air quality should meet national standards on more than 90 percent of days each year.

The average number of negative oxygen ions in the air in the core area should be at least 2000/cm³.

The environmental quality of noise at the base should be grade I or above, which is an acoustic environment for work, life and study, while the quality of surface water should be grade II or above.

At the same time, reception facilities and health care services in the rehabilitation base should also meet certain requirements.
