Five heavyweight exhibitors, including Shanghai Fengyuzhu Culture & Technology Co Ltd, a domestic leader in the exhibition industry, have confirmed their participation in the 2020 Maritime Silk Road China (Ningbo) Culture and Tourism Industries Fair.

The event, originally scheduled to be held in Ningbo from April 10 to 13, has been postponed due to the epidemic; however, preparations are still in full swing.

The fair's organizing committee reached an agreement with the five exhibitors via an online conference on March 9.

The event's predecessor, the China (Ningbo) Cultural Industry Fair, has been held in the city four times.

The fair, initiated in 2016, has attracted thousands of exhibitors from over 40 countries and regions. The previous four fairs saw more than two billion yuan ($289.8 million) in transactions and witnessed the signing of 500-plus investment projects valued at 25 billion yuan in total.

A series of supporting activities held on the sidelines of the fair, such as the Palace Museum cultural and creative forum, have been praised by national culture and tourism authorities.

This year, the local government decided to integrate the cultural fair with the Ningbo International Tourism Expo and renamed it the 2020 Maritime Silk Road China (Ningbo) Culture and Tourism Industries Fair.

The fair is poised to become an international platform of exchange and cooperation for cultural and tourism industries and will facilitate the integrated development of the two industries.

In addition to Fengyuzhu, the other exhibitors who have agreed to attend the fair include BaoKu Culture, a well-known domestic service provider in the cultural sector, and the Meng Xiaodong Peking Opera Culture Foundation from Taiwan.
