China Port Museum in Ningbo recently was designated a national 4A scenic attraction. 4A is the second highest rating for scenic attractions in China.

Founded in 1994, the museum, situated in Ningbo's Beilun district, is the largest port-themed museum in the country, offering exhibitions, education, collections, scientific research, tourism, and international exchange.

In April 2016, the State Council officially approved renaming the Ningbo Port Museum as the China Port Museum.

The museum, with a floor space of 40,978 square meters, is divided into six parts showcasing information about modern ports, port science, digital marine technologies, Beilun historical relics and underwater archaeology in China.

Currently, the museum is promoting the application of digital technologies and has launched online digital exhibitions, self-help tours, live lectures as well as a series of cultural and creative products.
