Location: Jiangbei district, a core urban area of Ningbo, is located west of the Yongjiang River, north of the Yuyao River and east of Yuyao city.

GDP: 63.96 billion yuan ($9.26 billion) (2019)

Area: 208.14 square kilometers 

Economy: 

Official data shows that Jiangbei's gross domestic product (GDP) rose 7.9 percent year-on-year to 63.96 billion yuan in 2019. 

The district's primary, secondary, and tertiary industries were valued at 770 million yuan, 19.81 billion yuan, and 43.38 billion yuan, year-on-year growth rates of 0.7 percent, 5 percent, and 9.5 percent, respectively. 

In 2019, Jiangbei introduced 24 new high-tech enterprises, bringing the total number in the district to 108. The added value of high-tech industries grew 4.2 percent to 8.67 billion yuan. 

The per capita disposable income among urban residents was 67,738 yuan, up 7.7 percent year-on-year, while the figure for rural residents was 39,342 yuan, a rise of 8.4 percent. 

Administrative divisions: 

Jiangbei governs seven sub-districts (Zhongma sub-street, Baisha sub-street, Wenjiao sub-street, Kongpu sub-street, Yongjiang sub-street, Zhuangqiao sub-street, and Hongtang sub-street) and one town (Cicheng town). 

Honors: 

In 2017, Jiangbei was ranked among the top 100 districts in China in terms of comprehensive economic strength. 

In October 2018, it ranked among the top 100 counties in the nation in terms of technical innovation and ecofriendly development. 

In October 2019, the district once again ranked among the nation's top 100 districts.

That same year, it was also listed among China’s top 100 districts in terms of urbanization quality.
