To celebrate International Museum Day on May 18, the China Port Museum launched a photo exhibition focusing on the ties between Ningbo and the maritime Silk Road.

The exhibition, featuring 15 sets of photographs, attracted numerous visitors on the first day. It is slated to run until June 28.

Founded in 1994, China Port Museum in Ningbo's Beilun district, is the largest port-themed museum in the country. In April 2016, the State Council officially approved renaming the Ningbo Port Museum to the China Port Museum.

The museum, with a floorage of 40,978 square meters, is divided into six parts showcasing information about modern port knowledge, port science, digital marine technologies, Beilun historical relics and underwater archaeology in China.
