New flight links Ningbo and Karamay

Ningbo Lishe International Airport is set to open a flight to Karamay in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region on June 16, according to local media reports.
It will be Ningbo's first flight to Karamay and to northern Xinjiang in general. The flight, which traverses a distance of 3,600 kilometers, is also set to be the longest domestic flight the Ningbo has ever offered.
The flight, operated by Spring Airlines, will consist of one round trip between Ningbo and Karamay on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Flight 9C6327 will depart from Ningbo at 7:40 am, transfer at Lanzhou Zhongchuan Airport at 10:55 am, and land in Karamay at 2:45 pm after a seven-hour-and-five-minute flight.
Return flight 9C6328 is set to depart from Karamay at 5:10 pm, transfer at Lanzhou Zhongchuan Airport at 8:10 pm, and arrive in Ningbo at 11:55 pm. The entire journey will take about six hours and 45 minutes.
There are currently four to five flights a day from Ningbo to Xinjiang, mainly to Urumqi, with flights available from 7 am to 7 pm, according to sources.
The new flight will be priced at 590 yuan ($85.5), while the lowest price for the return trip will be 400 yuan, according to the Spring Airlines website.
In July, the ticket price for a round trip will range from 1,680 yuan to 1,920 yuan.
Karamay, located in northwestern Xinjiang and west of Junggar Basin, is known for its oil base. The city is considered to have the most beautiful Yardang landform in China and is sometimes ranked as one of the 50 best places for foreigners to visit in China.
