The 22nd China Zhejiang Investment and Trade Symposium commenced on June 9 in Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province.

Che Jun, secretary of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee, said in a congratulatory letter that the conference taking place as scheduled in the form of an online exhibition despite the ongoing epidemic sends a positive signal to the world that the economy of Zhejiang and China is on a steady growth trajectory.

He hoped that attendees would learn about Zhejiang's strong reform and development momentum and achieve the expected results.

Yuan Jiajun, governor of Zhejiang, said that Zhejiang's economy is rebounding steadily thanks to a slew of policies rolled out by the government to alleviate the impact of the epidemic.

Zhejiang hopes to strengthen cooperation with its partners in China and abroad in key industries, international trade, and scientific innovation and contribute to global economic development, Yuan said.

Zheng Shanjie, secretary of the CPC Ningbo Municipal Committee, promised that Ningbo would provide quality services and an attractive environment for anybody who comes to the city, be it for investment, business, tourism, or to live.

The symposium, which is expected to run for a week, has witnessed the signing of 179 investment project deals costing a total of 363.1 billion yuan ($52.62 billion) to be carried out across the province. They involve sectors such as high-end equipment manufacturing, new energy, biomedicine, health, digital economy, scientific and technological innovation, and internet plus.
