Ningbo sets up overseas alliance to attract investment

A total of 43 investment deals worth 66.58 billion yuan ($9.64 billion) were signed in Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province on June 9, according to local media reports. 

The signing ceremony is an integral part of the 22nd China Zhejiang Investment and Trade Symposium, which commenced in the city on the same day.

The projects primarily focus on sectors such as electronic information, life health, auto parts, new materials, modern trade, modern logistics, modern finance and tourism and leisure.

Meanwhile, an overseas alliance to help bring in industrial investment to Ningbo was also established on the sidelines of the ceremony. 

The alliance is composed of 36 members from 26 countries around the world, including overseas Chinese organization leaders and foreign agency representatives. 

A head official from the Ningbo municipal bureau of commerce pointed out that the alliance will help expand the city's investment channels in key overseas countries.
