An event was recently held to promote the use of serving chopsticks and spoons both at home and in restaurants in Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province, local media reported.

There is currently an over 90 percent awareness of the importance of serving chopsticks and spoons in the city, and public health knowledge among locals has been enhanced.

Ningbo has attached great importance to the promotion of serving chopsticks and spoons in the post-pandemic era. The city has remained committed to promoting the use of serving chopsticks and spoons through posters, video exhibitions, and commercial activities at schools, companies, and communities.

Additionally, in a bid to further promote the use of serving chopsticks and spoons, many places in Ningbo have carried out "brainstorming" sessions. Promotions through new media such as WeChat have also become popular among local residents.

"The habit of using serving chopsticks and spoons has extended from social occasions to family occasions and from adults to teenagers, with nearly all city residents now taking up the habit," said a relevant employee from the Ningbo municipal bureau of commerce.
