Three places in Ningbo were recently shortlisted for the fourth batch of Zhejiang provincial tourist towns, according to local media reports. 

A total of 35 places across the province made the list. The three in Ningbo are Hengxi town in Yinzhou district, Zhaobaoshan sub-district in Zhenhai district, and Shenzhen town in Ninghai county. 

Hengxi town

By virtue of its proximity to urban areas and rich natural and cultural resources, Hengxi town has seen rapid growth in its rural tourism sector in recent years. Visitors to the town often marvel at the natural views highlighting mountains and bodies of water.

Zhaobaoshan sub-district 

Zhaobaoshan is a small water town typical in Jiangnan, the region south of the Yangtze River, where houses usually have white walls and black tiles.

Scenic spots such as Weiyuan Ancient City, which sits atop Zhaobao Mountain, and Anyuan Fort, located on the coast, are highly recommended places to visit. 

Shenzhen town

Shenzhen town, as a tourism destination, is renowned for its spring and mountain sports such as cycling and hiking.
