BEIJING - Zhang Guoqing has been appointed secretary of the Liaoning Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), replacing Chen Qiufa, according to a decision by the CPC Central Committee, which was announced Tuesday.

Also, Yuan Jiajun was appointed secretary of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the CPC, replacing Che Jun, the decision said.
