Zheng Shanjie has been appointed deputy governor and acting governor of East China's Zhejiang province, according to a decision of the standing committee of the provincial legislature on Sept 4.

The 23rd session of the Standing Committee of the 13th Zhejiang Provincial People's Congress on Friday also accepted the resignation of Yuan Jiajun from the post of the provincial governor.

According to a decision of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, Yuan has been appointed secretary of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee.
