The 2020 Ningbo Fashion Festival & 24th Ningbo International Fashion Fair is slated to be held in Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province from Oct 22 to 24, according to local media reports.

The expo, jointly sponsored by China National Textile And Apparel Council, Ningbo Municipal People's Government and Zhejiang Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology, will be held both online and offline this year for the first time.

Modern information technologies including 5G and big data will be used to set up an online exhibition platform and promote business negotiations between exhibitors and buyers from home and abroad who will be unable to attend the expo.

Meanwhile, the offline exhibition to be staged in the Ningbo International Conference & Exhibition Center will be composed of seven pavilions, showcasing such products as apparel, luggage, leather goods, accessories and intelligent equipment.

In addition, a consumption fair in the fashion sector is set to be held in the city to stimulate consumption among local residents and support the service sector, which has been hit hard by the COVID-19 epidemic.

The festival will see local fashion brands and garment factories promote goods by offering discounts both online and offline. The offline venues will be the Scientific Exploration Center at Ningbo Cultural Plaza and Wanren Plaza.

A series of forums is also set to be held on the sidelines of the festival, which will see a number of business leaders and experts share their insights into dual-circulation development pattern, fashion marketing and supply chain construction.
