Ningbo in East China's Zhejiang province signed 26 investment deals with countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative on Nov 6 at the third China International Import Expo (CIIE), which is currently underway in Shanghai.
The deals were reached at a negotiation conference attended by roughly 100 exhibitors from BRI countries and Ningbo enterprises.
Among the 26 deals, 22 were foreign-funded with a combined value of $2.19 billion, while the rest were funded by domestic enterprises and worth 12.43 billion yuan ($1.8 billion) in total.
The deals primarily cover equipment, minerals, food, cosmetics, chemicals and metal raw materials. They involve cooperation on cross-border logistics, regional headquarters, overseas warehouse construction, chemical equipment, automobile customization, insurance and finance.
The sources of these investments were mainly from 18 countries and regions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Brazil, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Chile, Romania and Hong Kong.
A delegation composed of 3,887 enterprises from Ningbo is attending the third China International Import Expo (CIIE), which commenced on Nov 4 in Shanghai. The delegation is the largest one from Zhejiang.
