Peng Jiaxue appointed Party chief of Ningbo

Peng Jiaxue has been appointed a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and secretary of the CPC Ningbo Municipal Committee.

Born in May 1965, Peng is of Han ethnicity and is from Qianshan, Anhui province. 

He entered the workforce in July 1989 and joined the CPC in June 1987. He is a postgraduate and holds a master's degree in engineering.

Peng served as director of the Zhejiang Provincial Bureau of Oceans and Fisheries and secretary of the CPC Shaoxing Municipal Committee before he was promoted to vice governor of Zhejiang in 2018.

He will take over from Zheng Shanjie, who was elected as governor of Zhejiang in September 2020.
