A pavilion made with 113 pieces of bamboo sheets was recently erected in Hongyang village, Huangtan town, Ninghai county, Ningbo.
Construction on the pavilion, which is shaped like a giant basket, was completed within a month by Yang Weilu, an inheritor of Ninghai bamboo weaving techniques, an intangible cultural heritage in Ningbo, along with four other villagers.
The pavilion, which has a diameter of 5.2 meters and a height of 5.8 meters, will go through further interior decoration. It will then be used as a public space integrating product display, leisure and entertainment, as well as tea tasting and dining.
