Those yearning for a refreshing getaway as the spring season arrives should consider visiting Tantoushan Island, which is located off Shipu town in Xiangshan county, Ningbo.

The island is noted for its clear sky, pristine beaches, and rustic sea views. It is inhabited by more than 3,000 people, who make a living by fishing.

Dawanggong, or The King's Palace, is a nature village situated on the island's south end that is worth visiting. 

The village is so named as it once was occupied by a group of pirates led by Cai Qian, who built a palace in the village.

Visitors are able to admire enchanting sea views, savor seafood, and experience the authentic island life there.

Hundreds of small houses arranged at random on a gentle hillside by the sea also captivate visitors.
